Swachhta Pakhwada

Chandigarh, 3rd October 2016:  As a part of observance of the “Swachhta Pakhwada” in the area of U.T. villages, all the Gram Panchayats organized Gram Sabha meeting today to chalk-out the strategy for the “Swachhta Pakhwada”.  The strategy contains day-wise activities of cleanliness campaign and brings awareness among the rural masses regarding importance of sanitary and clean environment in villages and their surroundings. All the Gram Panchayats also carried a special campaign in their area today.   

To boost up the morale of the villagers and to encourage them for participation in cleanliness activities, Smt. Ranjit Kaur, PCS, Director Rural Dev. & Panchayats, UT, Chandigarh herself attended the cleanliness campaign at village Daria, UT, Chandigarh.  Sh. Sunder Lal, Block Development & Panchayat Officer, UT, Chandigarh attended the cleanliness activities during the Swachhta campaign at village Daria/Behlana and Mauli Jagran, whereas the other officials of the Panchayat Department supervised the campaign in remaining villages.

Public Camp Chandigarh, 28 January, 2016 :-  It is for the information of the general public that the public camp for 29/01/2016 is to be held at community centre of Sector 45. The sectors covered in the camp would be Sector 44, 45 including burial Village, 46 and 33 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 AM.
