Swar Ragini Recital by Eminent Virtuoso Subhash Ghosh

Chandigarh, 22nd October, 2016: The Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi organized a Classical Music concert of Swar Ragini recital by eminent virtuoso Subhash Ghosh at Tagore Theatre today. Sh. Ghosh is a foremost disciple of Padma Vibhushan Ustad Amjad Ali Khan Sahib. He has invented two musical instruments including Sarasvani and Swar Ragini and has performed extensively in India and abroad.

The concert commenced after a welcome of the Chief Guest Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, Home Secretary- cum- Secretary Cultural Affairs by Sh. Kamal Arora, Chairman CSNA.

Sh. Subhash Ghosh commenced the recital with Jod alaap of Raga Bageshari and presented four compositions in different patterns. These were Vilamgat in Jhaptal, Madhya lyagat in teental, Dhrut lyagat in ektal and also in teental. He concluded the recital with a Jazz fusion.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
