Calculation of compensation for the land owners

Chandigarh, 23rd November, 2016: In exercise of the powers conferred by Serial No. 2 of the First Schedule appended to the “ Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (E) dated 09.09.2016, the Administrator, Chandigarh Administration, Chandigarh hereby specifies that for the calculation of compensation for the land owners, the market value to be calculated by the Collector, Chandigarh as per sub-section (1) of Section 26 of the aforesaid act shall be multiplied by a factor of 1.25 on all rural lands falling with the U.T. of Chandigarh.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
