District Court Chandigarh in Association with District Court Bar Association and Indian Red Cross Society to Organize a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp

Chandigarh, 2nd November, 2016: The District & Session Court, U.T. Chandigarh has completed its 50 years service and is celebrating its Golden Jubilee from 1st to 5th November, 2016. On the occasion of Golden Jubilee celebrations, the District Judiciary, U.T. Chandigarh is organizing series of events from 1st to 5th November, 2016 such as Cycle Rally, Walkathon, Drawing Exhibition and Painting Competition, Blood Donation Camp etc, which will be concluded on 5th November as a Valedictory Ceremony of Golden Jubilee Cerebration.

Under the leadership of Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman, Red Cross Society, U.T. Chandigarh many Blood Donation Camps have been organized from time to time. In the series of above events, the District Court, Chandigarh in association with District Court Bar Association and Indian Red Cross Society, U.T. Branch, Chandigarh is organizing a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on 3rd November, 2016 at Bar Room, District & Session Court Complex, Sector 43, Chandigarh in which Hon'ble Judges, the members of Bar Association, staff members and general public will donate their blood. Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh will grace the occasion as a Chief Guest.

Voluntary blood donation is a collective effort of the Community and Transfusion Services to meet the patients' demand for blood products. Voluntary blood donors are the foundation of a safe and sufficient blood supply and it is their sense of social responsibility to earns them the blessings of critically ill patients. Blood has no substitute and it is due to the self-less efforts of these blood donors, that we can provide safe and quality blood products.
