Helpline number for the residents’ concerns/Queries regarding ATM’s/ banks

Chandigarh, 14th November, 2016: Keeping in view of the problems faced by general public of Chandigarh after the denominations of Rs. 500 and Rs.1000 note by Government of India, The Chandigarh Administration has decided to designate a Helpline number 1860-180-2067 to answer the concerns/Queries of the general public relating to availability/withdrawal of currency from the ATM’s/ banks. 

It has come to the notice that many bank officials are refusing to exchange the currency of the general public due to no bank account in the concerned bank. It is for the information of the general public that they can exchange currency from any bank even if they don’t have an account in the same. If any bank is refusing to exchange the currency, they can contact the helpline number and necessary help will be provided immediately. The helpline number will work from 8 AM to 8 PM from Monday to Saturday.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. E auction of various commercial, residential and industrial sites to begin in Chandigarh

7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants. Bidding will begin from 31st January (9:00 AM) till 4th February 2019 (till 4 PM)
