Pawan Kumar Bansal & S. K. Setia Delivers Lectures in Chandigarh Schools

Chandigarh, 2nd November, 2016: During the inauguration of Government School buildings the Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T., Chandigarh Shri V.P. Badnore suggested that retired Generals, Admirals, Governors, Judges, senior civil retired officers who are residing in the city can come to the schools as guest faculty and share their experiences/ stories of the job thereby preparing and motivating the future generation by utilising their knowledge and experience for the benefit of students.

In response to the initiative taken up by the Education Department to invite retired professionals on voluntary basis twice a week, Sh. Pawan Kumar Bansal, former Union Minister, delivered his lesson to the students of legal studies in GMSSS-19/C, Chandigarh.
While interacting with students, Sh. Pawan Kumar Bansal deliberated on the purpose of Indian Constitution and its relevance in the present scenario. He stressed upon the need to understand various Articles of Indian Constitution. The fundamental rights should be followed strictly and religiously and every child should know almost all laws of the land.

Mr. S. K. Setia (HCS) delivered a lecture to XI Humanities at GMSSS Sector-16. He elaborated the meaning of Humanities and dealt into the intricacies of the subject. He highlighted the relevance of History as a subject. He expressed the difference between commerce and Humanities while describing the Commerce, dealing with business transactions among to social groups. He also summits the relevance of Education which starts from birth and it is through Education that a child learns to deal with others and become a social being. He also touched upon the topic of Smart Classes and how multimedia is here to stay. He stressed upon examinations being conducted frequently so as to remove fear and develop confidence among the children. He gave tips on handling interviews and also asked them to use the dictionary regularly in order to enhance their vocabulary.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
