State Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh Bags Two Prizes

Chandigarh, 11th November, 2016: Under the guidance of Hon’ble Justice Shiavax Jal Vazifdar, Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court and Patron-in Chief, State Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh and Hon’ble Justice Surya Kant, Punjab and Haryana High Court Judge and Executive Chairman State Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh, the SLSA, U.T, Chandigarh bagged two prizes in the National Commendation Ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, as part of observance of Legal Services Authority Day on 9th November 2016. The DLSA, Chandigarh was adjudged as best DLSA among all the Union Territories and small states in India. Further Sh. Ishmeet Singh, PLV was declared as the best PLV’s working in the Union Territories and small states of India.

Sh. Mahavir Singh, Member Secretary, State Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh, Sh. Balbir Singh, District and Sessions Judge-cum- Chairman, DLSA, Sh. Amarinder Sharma, CJM-cum-Secretary DLSA and Sh Ishmeet Singh, PLV were honored by Hon’ble Justice T.S Thakur, Chief Justice of India and Patron- in- Chief, NALSA, New Delhi for the commendable work done by the team.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
