State Legal Services Authority Organizes Exhibition and Painting Contest at District Court Chandigarh
Chandigarh, 4th November, 2016: As part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the
District Courts, Chandigarh, an on the spot painting contest for students of
Legal Literacy Clubs of Chandigarh and an exhibition of their posters was
organized by State Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh today at District
Courts Complex, Sector-43, Chandigarh. The exhibition was inaugurated by
Hon'ble Justice Surya Kant, Judge, High Court of Punjab and Haryana and
Executive Chairman, State Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh. It was
the finals of the painting competition as the Preliminary Competition was
conducted by the respective schools at their own level under the aegis of
District Legal Services Authority, Chandigarh.
The same was followed by a breath taking cultural programme by the residents of Snehalaya and students of First Steps School, Sector-26, Chandigarh which included a welcome song, a street play on Women Empowerment and a group dance. A stall highlighting the various NALSA Schemes and activities of Legal Services Authority was also there to guide the litigants visiting the Court Complex.
