State Legal Services Authority Organizes Exhibition and Painting Contest at District Court Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 4th November, 2016: As part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the District Courts, Chandigarh, an on the spot painting contest for students of Legal Literacy Clubs of Chandigarh and an exhibition of their posters was organized by State Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh today at District Courts Complex, Sector-43, Chandigarh. The exhibition was inaugurated by Hon'ble Justice Surya Kant, Judge, High Court of Punjab and Haryana and Executive Chairman, State Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh. It was the finals of the painting competition as the Preliminary Competition was conducted by the respective schools at their own level under the aegis of District Legal Services Authority, Chandigarh.

The same was followed by a breath taking cultural programme by the residents of Snehalaya and students of First Steps School, Sector-26, Chandigarh which included a welcome song, a street play on Women Empowerment and a group dance. A stall highlighting the various NALSA Schemes and activities of Legal Services Authority was also there to guide the litigants visiting the Court Complex.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. E auction of various commercial, residential and industrial sites to begin in Chandigarh

7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants. Bidding will begin from 31st January (9:00 AM) till 4th February 2019 (till 4 PM)
