Voluntary Blood Donation Camp organized at District Court, Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 3 Nov, 2016: To mark the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the District Courts, Chandigarh, a Voluntary blood donation camp and eye camp was organized at District Courts Chandigarh today. Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Advisor to Administrator, Chandigarh inaugurated the function and Hon’ble Justice M Jeyapaul was the Guest of Honor.

Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Advisor to Administrator, Chandigarh, Sh. TS Luthra, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Chandigarh, Sh. Balbir Singh, District Sessions Judge, Chandigarh, Sh. Sunil Toni, President DBA, Chandigarh along with other Judiciary officials donated blood at this camp. During this camp, 192 people donated blood and many vowed to donate their organs.

 In order to avoid inconvenience to litigants, the court timings of District Court, Chandigarh have been changed from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM to 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM for 5th November.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. 'X’ houses will be covered in the coming days too to track the unimmunized children and give them polio drops. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
