Chandigarh, 2^nd Dec, 2016: Today 1 fresh case of Dengue has been reported (till the release of press note) and the total number of Dengue cases remained 876 in the city. Today 1 case of Chikungunya have been reported which was from Chandigarh. The overall details of 287 cases of Chikungunya detected in Chandigarh is; 46 imported, 55 wrong address and 186 from Chandigarh.

To further strengthen the preventive activities, daily fumigation is being carried out alongwith strengthening of field activities which includes mass awareness, checking of breeding sources like coolers, containers, tyres and other sources.

Chandigarh Building Rules (Urban) 2017

Chandigarh 10 th August 2017: In compliance of the directions of the Government of India to take steps for improvement of ranking in “Ease of Doing Business’ index, the Chandigarh Administration has notified Chandigarh Building Rules (Urban) 2017. The existing building byelaws/orders/notifications issued from time to time have been reviewed bya committee. Since amendments to the building Rules were never compiled before, therefore, comparative analysis of existing building byelaws applicable in Chandigarh was done viz-a-viz Haryana Building Code 2016, TCPO Model Building Byelaws 2016 and NBC 2017.
