Visit to polling and counting centres

Chandigarh, 17th December, 2016: The State Election Commissioner Sh. S.K Srivastava, IAS along with Secretary State Election Commission Sh. S.S Gill today visited the counting centre at CCET Sector 26, Polling Booth No.135, 136 &139 At GMSS sector 19 and counting centre at Govt. College Of Education, sector 20. During the visit Sh. S.K Srivastava, IAS met the Returning Officers of the wards. He further inspected the arrangements for the elections and interacted with the polling parties and enquired about set up and if any difficulties are faced in polling arrangements. The Commissioner encouraged all the staff deputed to help the voters to cast their vote.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
