Meeting of Panchayat Samiti held to discuss about development of Rural Villages

Chandigarh, 30th January, 2017: The meeting of Panchayat Samiti, Chandigarh was held today under the Chairmanship of Sh. Shingara Singh, Chairman, Panchayat Samiti, Chandigarh. The meeting was attended by the officers of Public Health Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chandigarh Transport Undertaking, Education & Revenue Department with other prominent members of Panchayat Samiti, Chandigarh.

The agenda of meeting was to discuss about the development of Rural villages of U.T., Chandigarh in which the following issues were resolved:-

Construction of Bus Queue shelter in all U.T. villages.
Providing street light points in the streets leads to sewerage treatment plant of village Raipur Khurd.
Provision of Dust bins for all U.T. villages.
Deploying of bus service for village Mauli Jagran and Behlana, U.T., Chandigarh.
Development of children playing park for all U.T. villages.
Repair/Renovation of SC Dharamshala of village Raipur Khurd.
Providing underground electrical cables in all U.T. villages.
Laying of storm water drainage line at village Behlana.
Construction of Community Centre in village Mauli Jagran.
Concretization of streets & laying of sewerage line in village Mauli Jagran.
The revised budget estimate of Panchayat Samiti, Chandigarh for the year 2016-17 and the budget estimate 2017-18 was also approved.

Chandigarh, 27 th November 2018: The Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 399 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976 as extended to the Union Territory, Chandigarh by the Punjab Municipal corporation Law (Extension to Chandigarh) Act,   1994 (Act No. 45 of 1994), intends to amend the Chandigarh Water Supply Bye-Laws 2011 as amended from time to time and as in accordance with the provision of sub-section (1) of Section 401 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation (as extended to UT Chandigarh) Act, 1994, read with sub section (2) of section 7A of the capital of Punjab (Development &Regulation) Act, 1952, the Administrator UT Chandigarh after according approval to the same propose to issue the draft of notification which is hereby published for information of the persons likely to be affected thereby.
