OPD Registration Made Free

Chandigarh, 02nd January, 2017: The Department of Health, Chandigarh Administration today made the OPD registration free in the Government Multi Specialty Hospital Sector 16, Civil Hospital, Manimajra, Civil Hospital, Sector 22, Civil Hospital, Sector 45, Dispensaries of Health Department and AMU’S with immediate effect. The registration has been made free in order to support the project of Cashless City. Dr. Rakesh Kashyap, Director Health Services, U.T Chandigarh briefing about the initiative said, “ The step taken by the health department will not only support the  project of Cashless City but will also save the time of the patients who were now standing in queues for getting the registrations done”.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As part of this campaign, IMA has designed stickers with the message “Vote for a healthy democracy”, which will be stuck on all the prescriptions of patients.
