Road Tax of Battery Operated Vehicles Reduced

Chandigarh, 24th January, 2017: In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of The Punjab Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1924, as in force in the Union Territory of Chandigarh as amended read with the Notification No.G.S.R.366 (E), dated 15.06.2006 of the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh in pleased to reduce the road tax of Battery operated vehicles of all categories to NIL, subject to review, after three years.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
