Prize distribution ceremony of State level Kala Utsav

Chandigarh, 21st February, 2017: Prize distribution ceremony of State level Kala Utsav (an initiative under RMSA) was held today in Tagore Theatre. Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, Home Secretary, Chandigarh Administration was the Chief Guest of the occasion. The occasion also marked the presence of Director School Education, Dy. State Project Director SSA, Dy. State Project Director RMSA, Dy. Director Adult Education, District Education Officer, Dy. District Education Officer, Principals of the schools, Parents, Officers and other dignitaries.
114 students from 12 schools were given away prizes through cheques, trophies and certificates. Schools that won 1st position was awarded Rs. 1500/- per student, Rs. 1200/- who won 2nd position and 3rd position holder’s got Rs. 1000/- per student. Five officers and eight teachers were also honored who had put their sincere efforts to make Kala Utsav a grand success.  The results of the State level Kala Utsav are as follow:

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. 'X’ houses will be covered in the coming days too to track the unimmunized children and give them polio drops. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As part of this campaign, IMA has designed stickers with the message “Vote for a healthy democracy”, which will be stuck on all the prescriptions of patients.
