Raid Conducted

Chandigarh, 19th February, 2017: Under the Supervision of Dr. Tapasya Raghav, IAS, SDM east, a raid was conducted by the team of Food safety officer Bhaljinder Singh on Bakeries running in Manimajra, Chandigarh. During the drive, a Mathi bakery was found running in at 93/32 Gobindpura, Manimajra without license. A challan has been issued to owner Atik Ahmed on the spot for running bakery without having a FSSAI licence. 
In addition to this, a legal sample was taken of maida being used to prepare Mathis and has been sent to lab. Buns and Fen were also destroyed at other two bakeries running in unhygienic conditions.

As per SDM East the drive was conducted to check the running of illegal Bakeries without license in residential area and would be continued in coming days also.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote".
