Chandigarh, 20th March, 2017: Chandigarh
Housing Board had invited applications w.e.f. 30.1.2017 for allotment of
flats/Dwelling units to the eligible oustees of UT under Self Financing Scheme
on Leasehold/freehold Basis under “Chandigarh Allotment of dwelling units to
the Oustees of Chandigarh, Scheme, 1996”.
The last date for close of the scheme was fixed on 28.2.2017 which has
been further extended upto 15.3.2017. The Chandigarh Housing Board has offered
i.e. 263 Dwelling Units 27 HIG (3BR), 102 MIG(2BR), 60 LIG(1BR) & 74 EWS
(One Room) to various oustees, as per their option. The Registration and
allotment of flats is only open to the Eligible Oustees of UT Chandigarh in
cases of Land/House being acquired for which notification under section 4 of
the Land Acquisition Act was issued before 31.10.2007. The allotment shall be
subject to the provisions of Haryana Housing Board Act, 1971, as extended to
U.T. of Chandigarh, the provisions of the Chandigarh Housing Board (Allotment,
Management and Sale of Tenements) Regulations, 1979 and the Capital of Punjab
(Development and Regulation) Act, 1952 and the Rules and Regulations made
there-under and amended from time to time.
The process for Registration for allotment is going on through four
dedicated banks i.e. HDFC: Sector-9: Chandigarh; State Bank of Patiala: Sector-8:Chandigarh;
State Bank of India: Chandigarh Housing Board Branch:Sector-9: Chandigarh; and
PNB Sector 16-D, Chandigarh. Information
available with Chandigarh Housing Board suggests that 752 application forms for
allotment of Dwelling Units have already been sold out and 572 applications for
allotment have been received till date i.e. 20.3.2017 with these banks. This
indicates the success of launching the scheme by CHB.
Various oustees have brought to the notice
of the Chairman, Chandigarh Housing Board, the problem relating to non-funding
of Earnest Money Deposits (EMD) by the concerned dedicated banks in favour of
eligible oustees. The Board at its own
level has taken this issue with dedicated as well as other banks to come
forward and finance the amount of earnest money deposits in favour of oustees
who are facing financial problem for registration and allotment of dwelling
units. As a result, PNB Sector 16-D, Chandigarh has already funded EMD in
respect of 307 Numbers of applicants/oustees under the scheme.
For the convenience of
applicants/oustees the last date for receipt of applications under the scheme
has been further extended upto 28.3.2017.
