Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

Chandigarh, 22nd March, 2017: CHB is planning affordable housing for middle income group residents of the Urban Areas of Chandigarh under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Housing for All (Urban) Schemes under the component of Credit linked subsidy scheme.  Under the MIG-I scheme, beneficiaries living in Urban area of Chandigarh are eligible for an interest subsidy of 4% on a loan upto Rs. 9 lacs for new construction/addition of rooms, kitchen, toilet etc. to existing dwelling units provided that the carpet area of houses being constructed or enhanced under this component of the mission should be 61- 90 square meters.

Under the MIG-II scheme, beneficiaries living in Urban area of Chandigarh are eligible for an interest subsidy of 3% on a loan of Rs. 12 lacs for new construction/addition of rooms, kitchen, toilet etc. to existing dwelling units provided that the carpet area of houses being constructed or enhanced under this component of the mission should be between 91- 110 square meters.

Households having annual income between Rs.6,00,001/- to Rs.12,00,000/- fall under the category of Middle Income Group-I (MIG-I) and with income between Rs.12,00,001/- to Rs.18,00,000/- fall under the category of Middle Income Group-II (MIG-II).

Households living in urban area of Chandigarh will be eligible for affordable Housing in partnership & individual house enhancement provided that they are residents of Chandigarh as on 17.6.2015 having Aadhar Card/Voter Identity Card and having no house/residential plot anywhere in India.  The detail of the scheme will be announced shortly after the finalization of land and other modalities.

Demand Survey form can be downloaded from www.chbonline.in or can be obtained from the Reception Counter of Chandigarh Housing Board, Block-C, Sector 9-D, Chandigarh at a cost of Rs.10/- (Rupees ten only).  Period of submission of Demand survey form alongwith Rs.10/- as registration fee in the shape of postal order is 20.3.2017 to 20.4.2017. However, the applicants who upload their forms on the PMAY-MIS Portal are not required to deposit the registration fee of Rs.10/-

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
