Control Committee under the directions of Dr. Tapasya Raghav, IAS, Sub Divisional
Magistrate (East), U.T. Chandigarh the Sub Inspector (Enforcement), Estate
Office, Chandigarh has sealed M/s Anmol Bakery, Plot no. 810 near Govt Tube
Well, Hallomajra, Chandigarh. On 20.01.2017 inspection was carried out by the Chandigarh
Pollution Control Committee and found that the above bakery was discharging the
waste water into sewer without any treatment. They have also installed Electric
oven and one no D.G set which was not equipped with acoustic enclosure.
Chandigarh 10 th August 2017: In compliance of the directions of the Government of India to take steps for improvement of ranking in “Ease of Doing Business’ index, the Chandigarh Administration has notified Chandigarh Building Rules (Urban) 2017. The existing building byelaws/orders/notifications issued from time to time have been reviewed bya committee. Since amendments to the building Rules were never compiled before, therefore, comparative analysis of existing building byelaws applicable in Chandigarh was done viz-a-viz Haryana Building Code 2016, TCPO Model Building Byelaws 2016 and NBC 2017. This exercise has simplified the building Rules as each and every rule has been tabulated and individual chapters including Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Institutional, IT Park, High Rise buildings etc. The report had been earlier approved by the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh after seeking views from general public.
