Division of the area of Zila Parishad

Chandigarh, 5th April 2017: In pursuance of sub section (1) of Section 164 of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, (Punjab Act, 1994) as ext ended to the Union Territory, Chandigarh and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, is pleased to divide the   area of Zila Parishad, Chandigarh, into following ten single member territorial constituencies for the purpose of election, namely:-

II.      In pursuance of provisions contained in sub-section (2) and (3) of Section 165,   read with clause (c) of sub-section (1) of Section 164 of the aforesaid Act of 1994, the Administrator, Union Territory, /Chandigarh, hereby reserves the following constituencies for Women candidates, namely:-

III.     In pursuance of provisions contained in clause (a) of sub-section (1) read with sub-section (2) of Section 165 and sub-section (1) of Section 164 of the aforesaid Act of 1994, the  Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, hereby reserves the following constituencies for Scheduled Caste candidates, namely:-
