Chandigarh, 4th  May, 2017: In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 210 of the Punjab Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, as extended to Union Territory of Chandigarh, I,     S.K. Srivastava, State Election Commissioner, U.T. Chandigarh, hereby appoint, in consultation with the Chandigarh Administration, the officers shown in the table below, as Election Observer for the Constituencies shown against each, in connection with the  General election to Panchayat Samiti & Zila Parishad, U.T., Chandigarh to be held in the near future:-

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As part of this campaign, IMA has designed stickers with the message “Vote for a healthy democracy”, which will be stuck on all the prescriptions of patients.
