Chandigarh, 18th May, 2017: In accordance with the provisions mentioned under section 4 (1) of the "Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 2007 as extended to UT Chandigarh" issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India , the Administrator, UT Chandigarh is pleased to appoint the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh as implementing authority for municipal area and the Deputy Commissioner/Sub Divisional Magistrates as implementing authorities in their respective jurisdictions for the composition of offences.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As part of this campaign, IMA has designed stickers with the message “Vote for a healthy democracy”, which will be stuck on all the prescriptions of patients.
