Seminar on Yoga held at IMA Complex Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 19th June 2017: In view of the 3rd International day of Yoga, a seminar on Yoga was held IMA Complex, Chandigarh today. Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, Home Secretary cum-Health Secretary, Chandigarh presided over the seminar, whereas Dr. Rakesh K Kashyap, Director Health Services, Chandigarh, Dr. Vandana Gupta, Jt. PMO and other senior officers of Ayush Department were also present on this occasion.

More than 250 people attended the seminar at the IMA complex, where various speakers spoke on the benefits of yoga, pranayam, and meditation etc for complete physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well being. 

An interesting presentation was given by Dr. Rajkumar Sharma, an eminent surgeon correlating the effects of yoga, Pranayam & Meditation on various parts of brain, release of hormones & effects on sympathic & parasympathic nervous system.

Another prominent speaker was veteran Yoga Guru Shri Lal Ji Maharaj, who shared that yoga, should be customized as per needs like age, condition and health of the individual.
 

There were also  many other speakers from various groups like Patanjli, Brahmkumaris, Art of living, Brahmrishi, Yoga college, Chandigarh Yog Sabha, Chandigarh Yoga Association.
