Special Drive to be Conducted to Enroll Left Out Electors

Chandigarh, 30th June 2017: It is for the information of the Political Parties and General Public of Chandigarh Parliamentary Constituency that Election Commission of India, New Delhi has directed to conduct a Special drive to enroll left out electors giving focus on the age group of 18-21 years. This department is conducting a door to door survey w.e.f 1st July, 2017 to 31st July, 2017 through the Booth Level Officers, who will visit each and every house in the area allotted to them. All residents are requested to give full cooperation to B.L.O’s as and when they come for verification to their residence with the Electoral Rolls.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
