Bye-election to fill up one casual vacancy of Panch in Gram Panchayat of Village Raipur Khurd

Chandigarh, 17th July, 2017: The Bye-election to fill up one casual vacancy of Panch in Gram Panchayat of Village Raipur Khurd, in the Union Territory of Chandigarh is to be held on 30th July, 2017.
The Notification for calling upon the members of aforesaid Gram Panchayat to elect a Panch has been issued by the Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh on 14th July 2017, in pursuance of the provisions of Section 209 of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 as extended to Union Territory, Chandigarh.
Now, therefore, in accordance with the provision of Rule 7(2) of the Chandigarh Panchayat Election Rules, 1994, S.K. Srivastava, State Election Commissioner for U.T., Chandigarh, hereby appoint the dates for various stages of above said bye-election as below:-

Commencement of filing of nominations

Last  date for filing of nominations
19.07.2017 (Wednesday)
3.      
Scrutiny of Nominations.
20.07.2017 (Thursday)

Last date for withdrawal of candidatures.

The hours of Poll for the said election have been fixed as “8:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. (Without Break)”.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
