Newly Elected Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad announced

Chandigarh 10th July 2017: The special meeting of the elected members of Panchayat Samiti, Chandigarh and Zila Parishad, Chandigarh was convened as provided under section 105 & 168 of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (as extended to Union Territory, Chandigarh) to elect the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad, Chandigarh on 10.07.2017 by Smt. Kriti Garg, IAS, Sub Divisional Magistrate (Central & South), Chandigarh Administration. 

Sh. Nanak Singh of village Sarangpur and Smt. Sukhwant Kaur of village Mauli Jagran have been elected as Chairman and Vice-Chairperson of Panchayat Samiti, Chandigarh.  Smt.  Geeta Devi of village Kaimbwala and Smt. Santosh of village Behlana have been elected as Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of Zila Parishad, Chandigarh.

Chandigarh, 27 th November 2018: The Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 399 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976 as extended to the Union Territory, Chandigarh by the Punjab Municipal corporation Law (Extension to Chandigarh) Act,   1994 (Act No. 45 of 1994), intends to amend the Chandigarh Water Supply Bye-Laws 2011 as amended from time to time and as in accordance with the provision of sub-section (1) of Section 401 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation (as extended to UT Chandigarh) Act, 1994, read with sub section (2) of section 7A of the capital of Punjab (Development &Regulation) Act, 1952, the Administrator UT Chandigarh after according approval to the same propose to issue the draft of notification which is hereby published for information of the persons likely to be affected thereby.
