Registration of Real Estate Projects and Real Estate Agents under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016

Chandigarh, 6th July, 2017: In exercise of the power conferred by the third proviso to sub-section (1) of section 20 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, the Central Government had designated Secretary Housing, Chandigarh Administration as the Interim Regulatory Authority, until the establishment of the permanent Regulatory Authority, vide Notification Dated 13th January 2017.
Section 3 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 has been notified for commencement by the Government of India vide Notification dated 19th April, 2017.
In exercise of the power conferred by Section 84 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 the Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation Government of India notified the Rules under the said Act vide Notification dated 26th April, 2016.
All real estate projects and real estate agents covered under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 in the Union Territory of Chandigarh are hereby requested to register with the interim Regulatory Authority through its website: rera.chbonline.in

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. E auction of various commercial, residential and industrial sites to begin in Chandigarh

7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants. Bidding will begin from 31st January (9:00 AM) till 4th February 2019 (till 4 PM)
