Free Travel Facility for Women on “Raksha Bandhan Day”

Chandigarh, 4th August, 2017:- The UT Administration has decided to provide free travel facility to women in all local AC and Non-AC CTU buses on “Raksha Bandhan”, which falls on August 07 this year. The facility, however, will not be available on long route CTU buses.   Chandigarh Transport provided this facility in 2015 first time and is extending the same this year also third time in a row.   Through this gesture, UT Administration extends its support and exhibits its commitment to provide service delivery and to facilitate the Chandigarh citizens, on the eve of ‘Raksha Bandhan’.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
