Under Rule 2 of Temporary Suspension of Telecom Services (Public Emergency of Public Safety) Rules, 2017

Chandigarh, 24th August, 2017: In exercise of powers conferred upon the Home Secretary, U.T. Chandigarh by virtue of Rule 2 of Temporary Suspension of Telecom Services (Public Emergency of Public Safety) Rules, 2017, Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, Home Secretary, U.T. Chandigarh hereby orders suspension of the 1). Mobile Internet Services (2G/3G/4G/CDMA), 2). All SMS services 3) All dongle services etc. provided on mobile networks except voice calls in the territorial jurisdiction of Union Territory of Chandigarh. All Telecom Service Providers in Union Territory of Chandigarh and Principal General Manager BSNL (Telecom District, Chandigarh) are hereby directed to ensure compliance of this order. 


This order is issued to prevent any disturbance of peace and public order in the jurisdiction of Union Territory of Chandigarh and shall be in force for the next three days, from the time this suspension order becomes operational.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. E auction of various commercial, residential and industrial sites to begin in Chandigarh

7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants. Bidding will begin from 31st January (9:00 AM) till 4th February 2019 (till 4 PM)
