Declaration of Public Holiday

Chandigarh, 19th Sep, 2017: In partial modification of Administration’s Notification regarding declaring of Public Holidays in the Union Territory of Chandigarh during the calendar year 2017, the 30th September, 2017 (Saturday) will now be observed as Public Holiday in all the Government Officers/Boards/ Corporations/Institutions including Industrial Establishments under the Chandigarh Administrations on account of Dussehra instead of Restricted Holiday and also within the meaning of Section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
