CTU Implements changes in Buses for Convenience of General Public

Chandigarh 17th November 2017: Chandigarh Transport Undertaking has implemented some changes in buses for the convenience of the general public of Tricity of Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali

1.     Changes in bus sizes keeping in view the load factor and for smooth traffic flow on V-4 roads within sector
Replacement of 09 Meter Midi buses with 12 Meter long Buses on Route No- 216 (ISBT- 43 to Derabassi via ISBT- 17).

Replacement of 12 Meter Long buses with 9 Meter Midi Buses Route No- 2B (PGI to Mansa Devi) & Route No- 240 (ISBT- 43 to Mansa Devi)

2.     Extension of routes:

Route No- 32A (Mansa Devi to Palsora) has been extended up to New Bus Stand      Mohali

Route No- 213 (New Bus Stand Mohali to Zirakpur) also extended up to Derabassi via Elante Mall.

3.     Addition of Buses on Routes:
·    
     02 Nos Buses have been added to Route No. 5A & 5C to make the frequency to 15 minutes instead of 15-20 Minutes.
·   
   01 Nos Bus added in the Route No- 22 (ISBT- 43 to IT-Park) with its amended frequency as 15 minutes as per passenger load.

4.     Amendment of Routes:

Route No. 239C amended through Sector-09 Market, 08/09 Gurdwara Sahib, Govt Press, Neelam Theater.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
