Chandigarh, 21st February 2018: In partial modification of this office’s order regarding playing of any kind of music/sounds originating from any kind of instrument/appliance/apparatus capable of producing or re-producing sound is banned between 10:00 P.M. to 06:00 A.M. in the Union Territory, Chandigarh.

‘The use of loudspeaker or public address system and the like during the night hours (between 10:00 P.M. to 12 midnight) is hereby allowed only on the 15 days notified by the Secretary, Environment, Chandigarh, vide his office notification no. 5039, dated: 12.01.2018’.

Chandigarh, 27 th November 2018: The Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 399 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976 as extended to the Union Territory, Chandigarh by the Punjab Municipal corporation Law (Extension to Chandigarh) Act,   1994 (Act No. 45 of 1994), intends to amend the Chandigarh Water Supply Bye-Laws 2011 as amended from time to time and as in accordance with the provision of sub-section (1) of Section 401 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation (as extended to UT Chandigarh) Act, 1994, read with sub section (2) of section 7A of the capital of Punjab (Development &Regulation) Act, 1952, the Administrator UT Chandigarh after according approval to the same propose to issue the draft of notification which is hereby published for information of the persons likely to be affected thereby.
