Fare Revision by State Transport Authority



Chandigarh, 8th March 2018: In supersession of Chandigarh Administration, Transport Department Notification bearing No. 1/5/36-H-III(7)-2015/9143 dated 05/05/2015 in exercise of powers conferred by clause(i) of Sub-section (1) of Section 67 of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh is pleased to issue following directions to the State Transport Authority, U.T., Chandigarh:


DIRECTIONS

The State Transport Authority, U.T., Chandigarh shall ensure that the maximum rate of fare for stage carriages in the Union Territory, Chandigarh / Tri-City (M.C. Limit) is fixed as under, with effect from 12/03/2018 :-

Note:-

1.         Bus Pass month will start from the date of issuance of the Pass e.g. a person can get one month pass from 07th April, 2018 till 06th May, 2018. Monthly bus pass can be availed for any number of months starting from the date of preparation of bus pass.

2.            Half Ticket will be charged into round figure (.50 paise will be rounded to Rs.1/-).
3.            No discount on daily pass to any category of persons as daily pass is already at discount rate.
4.         A passenger cannot avail multiple discounts if he is entitled to more than one discount. He can avail one discount as per his preference.
5.            Smart Card fee of Rs.30/- for bus passes will be charged extra.
