Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, North West Region hands over 20 Bins to Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 8th March 2018: Ms. Madhu Mahajan, IRS, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, North West Region, Chandigarh today, handed over 20 Bins carrying the message of “Operation Clean Money” to the Sh. Jitender Yadav, IAS, Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh.  Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh was also present and appreciated the Vertical Garden initiative at Aayakar Bhawan taken up as a part of the Swachhta Abhiyaan. Briefing the officers present, she explained that the Vertical Garden contributed to aesthetics and also improved indoor and outdoor climate by reducing greenhouse-gases like CO2 and NO2.

Reiterating the message of Operation Clean Money, the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax said that the department was committed to collecting the right amount of tax at the right time and providing quality tax payer services. She appealed to all citizens of the Tricity to keep their date with Advance Tax  on March 15th 2018 and to pay their taxes and stand proud.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
