Affixation of High Security Registration Plates


Chandigarh, 11th April 2018: It is for the information of general public/residents of Chandigarh that the Registering and Licensing Authority, U.T., Chandigarh has started the process for affixation of High Security Registration Plates on old vehicles already registered and are registering in UT, Chandigarh. The series CH01-BN, CH01-BP and CH01-BQ have already been carried out for affixation of HSRPs. The owners of the vehicle of said series are given last opportunity for getting their vehicles affixed with HSRP upto 30.04.2018 otherwise the Traffic Police, UT, Chandigarh can challan the vehicles. Moreover, the process for affixation of HSRP on current running series i.e. CH01-BR is being carried out till further orders.

Further, the owners of the vehicle having registration number of ”CH01-BM” series shall apply for affixation of HSRP at their respective offices with the request on plain paper mentioning the detail of Chassis Number, Engine Number, Make, Model alongwith a copy of Registration Certificate of the vehicle & copy of valid insurance w.e.f. 16.04.2018 to 31.05.2018.

In case, if, the owners of the vehicle of series CH01-BM do not affixed HSRP within the stipulated period i.e. 16.04.2018 to 31.05.2018 on their vehicles, the Traffic Police, UT, Chandigarh can challan the vehicles of the initiated series.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote".
