CTU puts into operation new fully automatic washing plant


Chandigarh, 26th April, 2018: CTU Buses are an integral part of the city’s beautiful outlook that anyone can hardly ignore. In its endeavour of giving more clean buses to commuters, CTU put into operation new fully automatic washing plant with two lanes today in Depot 2 in order to augment the capacity for washing of its local and intercity buses fleet.
The newly installed plants were inaugurated by Sh. B.L Sharma, IAS, Secretary Transport, Sh. Amit Talwar, PCS, Director Transport and other CTU officials were also present on the occasion.
These new plants have state of the art computerized numerical controlled washing features and will help the undertaking to wash 300 of its Intercity and local buses of Depot 1 and Depot 2 on daily basis.
Earlier with the old single plant which was more than 28 years old, buses were being washed on alternate day as the capacity of earlier plant was half of the new Capacity.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote".
