Inauguration of Sports Complex


Chandigarh, 9th April 2018: In order to provide better sports facilities in southern part of the city, a new sports complex was inaugurated today at sector-34 by Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh Sh. V.P Singh Badnore in the august presence of Smt. Kirron Kher, Member of Parliament Chandigarh,  Sh. A.K. Sinha, IAS, Finance Secretary , Sh. B.L. Sharma, IAS, Education Secretary and Sh. Mukesh Anand, Special Secretary (Engineering), Capt. Karnail Singh, PCS, Director sports,  Chief Architect, Director School Education, Area Councilor and other senior officers of the Chandigarh Administration. The project details are as below:-
1. Estimated cost                     Rs. 8 Crore
2. Plinth area                                     37000 Sq Ft.
3. Plot area                                        2.66 Acre
 Provided with following Facilities                               
1. Swimming Pool         -        1
2. Gymnasium Hall        -        1
3. Table Tennis Hall      -        1
4. Badminton Courts     -        3
Reception and waiting area, coach rooms, etc.
The Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh Sh. V.P Singh Badnore appreciated the initiative of building the sports complex.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. 'X’ houses will be covered in the coming days too to track the unimmunized children and give them polio drops. E auction of various commercial, residential and industrial sites to begin in Chandigarh

7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants. Bidding will begin from 31st January (9:00 AM) till 4th February 2019 (till 4 PM)
