Self Certification of the Building Plans

Chandigarh, 9th, April 2018: The Chandigarh Administration has recently mandated the Self Certification of the Building Plans by private practicing architects in respect of commercial buildings in the city.

Further, the process of extending the above facility in case of residential and industrial buildings upto two canal category is also at an advanced stage and likely to be notified shortly. This move shall facilitate Ease of Doing Business initiative of the Government of India in the city and also put the plan sanctioning procedure on the fast track. In order to acclimatize the private practicing architects in the city on this issue, the Department of Urban Planning, Chandigarh Administration shall be holding a meeting with them alongwith other stakeholders on 10/04/2018 at 12 noon in the UT Secretariat and share all the information with them. All private practicing architects shall be updated of the process of Self Certification alongwith relevant information.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. E auction of various commercial, residential and industrial sites to begin in Chandigarh

7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants. Bidding will begin from 31st January (9:00 AM) till 4th February 2019 (till 4 PM)
