11th Prize Distribution Function were held of Government College of Commerce and Business Administration, Sector 50, Chandigarh


Chandigarh, 7th May 2018: The 8th Annual Convocation and 11th Prize Distribution Function were held in Government College of Commerce and Business Administration, Sector 50, Chandigarh today.

 Sh. R.K Popli, PCS,  Director Public Relations and Registering & Licencing Authority, Chandigarh Administration (U.T.) Chandigarh was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He congratulated the graduates and prize winners and applauded the efforts for the holistic development of the students. He highlighted the role of life skills and value system to be an achiever at work place which is more important than only receiving academic degrees. 

Principal of the College Dr. Manjit Kaur presented the Annual Report of the college highlighting the achievements of the students during the session 2017-18.  Prof. (Dr) Rosy Walia, Dean, presented the students of M.COM, B.COM and BBA for award of Degrees to the graduates. Around 212 degrees were awarded to the students of M.COM, B.COM (Hons in Management Studies and Economics), B.Com (pass course) and BBA. Vice Principal Amarpreet Singh Sijher announced the names of the prize winners who have excelled in the fields of academics and co-curricular activities during the year. Four students were awarded Roll of Honour in the field of Academics, Sports and Cultural Activities. In all 28 students were awarded College Colour and 130 students were awarded Certificate of Merit for outstanding achievements in academics, sports, NSS and co-curricular activities.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
