65th Annual Prize distribution function of PGGC 11 celebrated


Chandigarh, 2nd May 2018: The 65th Annual Prize giving function of PGGC 11 was celebrated with great fervour and zeal. Sh. Ajoy Kumar Sinha, IAS, Secretary Finance, Chandigarh Administration, was the chief guest and Sh. RupinderJeet Singh Brar , PCS, Director of higher education, was the guest of honour in the function.
The chief guest gave away prizes to stellar achievers among which 49 students were given Roll of Honour for their distinction in various fields like Academics, NCC, NSS, Cultural Activities, blood donation and Sports. 169 students were awarded College Colour for their outstanding performance in Academics, NCC, Sports, Cultural Activities, Blood Donation and efficient supervision of student council. Merit Certificates for Academic Achievements in their respective subjects were awarded to 375 students.

Sh. Ajoy Kumar Sinha  encouraged the students to enjoy their achievements. He assured on opening of the first of its kind recruitment cell in the college.                        Sh. Rupinderjeet Brar stressed at the importance of education and the role of teachers in nurturing the young minds.
Sh. Sanjay Tandon gave special cash prize of 11000rupees to Rohit Kumar(BA3) for his special achievement in NSS and he was also honoured with Late. Captain Rohit Kaushal achievement award.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. 'X’ houses will be covered in the coming days too to track the unimmunized children and give them polio drops. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As part of this campaign, IMA has designed stickers with the message “Vote for a healthy democracy”, which will be stuck on all the prescriptions of patients.
