INTERSCHOOL QUIZ COMPETITION ON DADRA & NAGAR HAVELI


Chandigarh, 18th May, 2018: The final round of inter-school quiz competition on Dadra & Nagar Haveli was organised today by the Education Department, U.T., Chandigarh at Govt. Girls Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 18-C, Chandigarh. Total 72 teams had participated in the 1st round of the quiz that was held on 17 May 2018. Top 5 teams of the written round qualified for the 2nd and final round. Manav Mangal-21 bagged 1st position. D.A.V.-15 & Saupins-32 secured 2nd & 3rd position respectively. The winning teams were awarded with cash prizes and certificates by Sh. Rubinderjit Singh Brar, PCS, Director School Education in the presence of Ms. Saroj Mittal, DDSE, Ms. Anujit Kaur, D.E.O & Mr. Vikram Rana, S.L.O. Shivalik Public School-41 & Govt. High School, Daddu Majra were also given consolation cash prizes and participation certificates.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. 'X’ houses will be covered in the coming days too to track the unimmunized children and give them polio drops. E auction of various commercial, residential and industrial sites to begin in Chandigarh

7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants. Bidding will begin from 31st January (9:00 AM) till 4th February 2019 (till 4 PM)
