RAJ BHAVAN WEBSITE LAUNCHED

CHANDIGARH, 22 May, 2018: The Governor, Punjab and Administrator U.T., Chandigarh Shri V.P. Singh Badnore today launched the Punjab Raj Bhavan website which can be accessed at www.punjabrajbhawan.gov.in .

Formally launching the website, the Governor said this website will provide online access to information related to the activities of Punjab Raj Bhavan and ensure transparency and efficiency in addressing citizen grievance matters. A significant feature of the website is the online grievance redressal portal through which citizens of both Punjab and U.T. Chandigarh can submit their grievance online. Such online grievances will be taken by the State Punjab Government agencies and U.T. administration respectively for redressal and the status of addressal can be ascertained by citizens themselves and also monitored centrally. SMS alert facility will also be provided to citizens.

The Punjab Raj Bhavan website, provides all the updated information related to the Punjab Raj Bhavan and will have the details of the upcoming public events, picture  galleries and archive of former governors. It will also have the soft copy of the Coffee Table Book of Punjab Governor which was published on the completion of his one year in office.

Besides this other unique features of the website are; online appointment with Administrator and online request for any function/event through which citizens can seek appointment or consent of Governor to participate in events.

Prominent officers present on the launch included Shri. Parimal Rai, Adviser to the Administrator, Sh. J.M. Balamurugan, Secretary to Governor of Punjab, Shri. Anurag Aggarwal, Home Secretary, Shri. Ajoy Kumar Sinha, Finance Secretary, Shri. Jitender Yadav,  Special Secretary Information Technology, Shri. Arjun Sharma, Director Information Technology.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
