Chandigarh 29th May 2018: The Govt. College of Yoga Education
& Health, Sector 23-A, Chandigarh has organized a five day Yoga Awareness
and Ayurvedic camp in the college premises from 29th May to 02 June,
2018 (05:15 a.m. to 07:00 a.m.). The opening ceremony of the camp was graced by
Sh. Jitender Yadav, IAS, Secretary Sports, UT Chandigarh who was welcomed by
Dr. Mahender Singh, Joint Director Sports, UT Administration & Principal of
the college. The first day of the camp commenced with imparting information on
adapting a healthy lifestyle through yoga by Mr. Roshan Lal & Ms. Sarghi
Kohli which was followed by Suksham Vyayam and Breathing exercises. A special
feature of the camp was free Ayurvedic medical checkup, Blood pressure by
Ayurvedic doctors Dr. Rajiv Kapila & Dr. Aarti from AYUSH Department
Sector-24 Chandigarh, Blood sugar checked by Mr. Raman & AIMIL team
members, distribution of free Ayurvedic medicines and medicinal plants to all
the participants by the chief guest. A total of 80 yoga enthusiasts
participated in the event.
Chandigarh 10 th August 2017: In compliance of the directions of the Government of India to take steps for improvement of ranking in “Ease of Doing Business’ index, the Chandigarh Administration has notified Chandigarh Building Rules (Urban) 2017. The existing building byelaws/orders/notifications issued from time to time have been reviewed bya committee. Since amendments to the building Rules were never compiled before, therefore, comparative analysis of existing building byelaws applicable in Chandigarh was done viz-a-viz Haryana Building Code 2016, TCPO Model Building Byelaws 2016 and NBC 2017. This exercise has simplified the building Rules as each and every rule has been tabulated and individual chapters including Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Institutional, IT Park, High Rise buildings etc. The report had been earlier approved by the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh after seeking views from general public.
