Administrator takes an Open House Review Meeting


Chandigarh, 7th June 2018: A review meeting of the grievances received during the Open House was held today under the chairmanship of Sh. VP Singh Badnore, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T, Chandigarh.

Sh. Parimal Rai, Adviser to the Administrator, Sh. A K Gupta, Home Secretary, Sh. J.M Balamurugan, Secretary to Governor of Punjab, Sh. A K Sinha, Finance Secretary, Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. K K Yadav, Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Sh. Tajender Singh Luthra, DGP Chandigarh, Sh. Eish Singhal, SP, UT, Chandigarh and all the Head of the Departments were also present during the meeting.

The review meeting was held to check the status of the grievances received during the Open House held on 22nd May 2018. In total, 43 complaints were received from different strata of the society like individuals from fields of education, health, representatives of welfare associations, freedom fighters and villagers of periphery of Chandigarh during the last open house, and the responses were received from all the concerned departments which were reviewed by the Administrator

To promote animal welfare, the Administrator has directed the officials to upgrade the facilities at veterinary dispensaries of Chandigarh. His Excellency also reviewed and appreciated the work done for the cleaning and upkeep of all Choes by the Municipal Corporation and Engineering Department.

He has also asked the concerned HOD’s to resolve the future grievances in a stipulated time and to the satisfaction of the complainant.

Administrator Launches Website of Sports Department Chandigarh

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
