Education Secretary launches Online Admission process for admission to Class XI


Chandigarh: June 4, 2018: The Online Admission process for admission to Class XI in Government Senior Secondary Schools of Chandigarh was launched today by Sh. BL Sharma, IAS, Education Secretary in the presence of Sh. Rakesh Kumar Popli, PCS, Director School Education-cum-Director Public Relations and other senior officials of the School Education Department at the UT Secretariat.
Chandigarh Administration has taken this unique initiative of accepting online Application forms for admission in all Government Senior Secondary Schools for the session 2018-2019. For the convenience of applicants, three Counseling sessions would be held
1.     1st Counseling starts on 6th June 2018
2.     2nd Counseling starts on 16th May 2018
3.     3rd Counseling starts on 13th August 2018

Interested applicants can fill Registration Forms online at www.chdeducation.gov.in or nielit.gov.in/Chandigarh and the last date for filling up the forms is June 18, 2018. Candidates with compartment can also apply for provisional admission this year. The admission of those candidates who fail to qualify first compartmental examination shall be cancelled. There is no offline mode of application form.

Applicants who face any problem in filling the form can take the help of different Government schools besides NIELIT Centre, Sector 30, Chandigarh from 8:30 AM to1:45 PM on any working day.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
