Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan (National Health Protection Mission) of U.T. Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 24th August, 2018: Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan (National Health Protection Mission) is the Hon'ble Prime Minister's Flagship programme which will be  launched on 25th September, 2018. The AB-NHPM will provide Health Cover of up to Rs.5.00 Lakhs to economically deprived families covered under SECC data for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization. To promote the programme, a workshop was  held today at IMA complex, Sector-35 which was graced by the presence of Sh. Sachin Rana, IAS, ADC cum CEO, Ayushman Bharat, IMA members, representatives of govt. hospitals and stake holders Of private hospitals. 
Dr.Vinod Verma, Consultant, NHPM, was the resource person from Govt. of India who addressed all the queries of the participants regarding the empanelment procedures and various other issues. In Chandigarh approximately twenty four thousand (24000) households have been validated under this scheme as per the SECC data. The scheme shall be applicable in the govt. as well as private empanelled hospitals for the availability of services to the SECC beneficiary. The participants were apprised regarding the governments intentions in extending assured claims settlement within 15 days from date of uploading of documents. The National portability on the beneficiary for availing the medical services from any other city was also discussed. It was also intimated that GMSH-16 has already been empanelled and the setting up of kiosk for identification, validation of the SECC beneficiary is also in place. The Arogya Mitras have been indentified and trained for the facilitation of the beneficiaries. The interested hospitals/Nursing homes of U.T. Chandigarh have submitted their applications online for empanelment under Ayushaman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan (National Health Protection Mission)

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
