PMKVY Center exclusively for women Opened in Chandigarh


Chandigarh, 6th August 2018: In order to create a skilled ecosystem, Chandigarh Skill Development Mission has taken another step towards the success of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana in UT Chandigarh. Women empowerment is a big agenda of Chandigarh Skill Development Mission, therefore , another PMKVY Center exclusively for women, in  much demanding course of Customer Relationship Management Domestic (Non Voice) has been inaugurated by Sh. Sachin Rana, IAS, Special Secretary, Technical Education-cum-Mission Director, Chandigarh Skill Development Mission today at Govt. Industrial Training Institute for Women, Sector 11-C, Chandigarh.
The main objective of this Center is to provide platform and comfortable environment to women, girls in their career building. Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Sachin Rana said that this multi-skill training centre will enhance employability skills of students by offering occupational, communication and professional life skills which them to become industry ready. He further informed that the students will also enjoy the benefits of certification and placement assistance.
Mission Director urged the industry to make equal contribution towards training of such certified people so that we further strengthen our industries and our youth. The focus on skill development should be as much as we have on research and production today.
This Center will provide free of the cost training to women students. Training Aspirants can apply on portal of CSDM ie www.utcsdm.org and also submit their application at GITIW.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
