Skill development training in Housekeeping Inaugurated under radhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana


Chandigarh, August 07, 2018:  Chandigarh Skill Dvelopment Mission in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India organized the inauguration of Skill development training in Housekeeping under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The Skill development training was inaugurated by Sh. Jitendar Yadav, IAS, Managing Director, CITCO, and Sh.Sachin Rana, IAS, Special Secretary, Technical Education-cum-Mission Director, Chandigarh Skill Development Mission.

Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Jitendar Yadav, IAS, emphasised on the importantance of people in the society in term of Housekeeping. These people not only provide previlage to society to stay clean but also help everyone to stay healthy. He also offered the support of CITCO in term of On the Job Training and placement.

Sh.Sachin Rana, IAS, Special Secretary, Technical Education-cum-Mission Director, Chandigarh Skill Development Mission  congratulated all participants and called them the brand ambassador of CSDM to replicate their experiences to other peoples. He also added that this Skill Training Centre will enhance employability skills of students by occupational and professional life skills in the hospitality sector. The main objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training which will help them in securing a better livelihood. DrKottuSekhar, Coordinator, RGNIYD RC, Chandigarh mentioned that 100 youth will be trained in this trade in next 8 months. After the training, all students will be provided with the placement assistance in the hospitality industry. The occasion was also graced by the State Engagement Officer, NSDC and Panch of Kudha Lahora, Sh. Pritpal Singh.

Training aspirants can apply on the portal of CSDM i.e.www.utcsdm.org and can also submit their application at RGNIYD Regional Centre, Sector 12, Chandigarh.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
