Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) training Starts in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 10th  September 2018:  Sh. B. L. Sharma, IAS, Secretary Personnel, Chandigarh Administration inaugurated the first Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) training batch of employees of Group A, B, C and D of Chandigarh Administration at Govt. Industrial Training Institute for Women, Sector 11, Chandigarh.   The Directorate of Technical Education, UT, Chandigarh has been chosen as Nodal Agency to impart the aforesaid training at all the technical Institutes of U.T. Chandigarh.  In all, 20329 U.T. employees will be imparted training on IT so as to enable them to become more efficient and competent to meet the requirements of their duties.
Sh. B. L. Sharma, IAS explained that this training was necessitated by the Chandigarh Administration as the employees were feeling deficient in the knowledge of computers; hence, this Project has been initiated to make every employee equipped with the knowledge of computers and operations.
Sh. Rajan Dogra, Principal of the Institute assured that the experienced hand faculty has been engaged to train the employees and course content would be kept more engaging and meaningful. Smt. Sunita Mehta, Nodal Officer gave a presentation as to how this training was going to benefit the employees and their Departments.  Great enthusiasm was seen among the employees with regard to their joining this training and it is certain that this training will bring greater efficiency and they will be able to make use of the latest technologies in day to today working.
