Chandigarh, 20th September 2018: In pursuance of the powers conferred under Rule 4(1) of the Chandigarh Panchayat Election Rules, 1994, Sh. S.K. Srivastava, State Election Commissioner, Union Territory, Chandigarh, hereby appoint in consultation with the Chandigarh Administration, the officers shown in column 2 of the table below, as the Electoral Registration Officers (Table 1), Election Observer (Table 2), Electoral Registration Officer-cum-Assistant Returning Officer (Table 3) for the forthcoming General Election to Gram Panchayats, U.T. Chandigarh, for the Gram Panchayats shown in column 3 against each. The officer so appointed as Electoral Registration officer is also appointed as Returning Officer under the provisions of Rule 6 (1) of the against each in Column 3 of the table below:-

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As part of this campaign, IMA has designed stickers with the message “Vote for a healthy democracy”, which will be stuck on all the prescriptions of patients.
